Microwaving Corn on the Cob in plastic wrap is one of the best and fastest ways to get your corn perfectly cooked in a short time. - 1 ear of corn
- Plastic Wrap of your choice You'll need enough to wrap the corn up completely.
- Butter
- Salt
Remove the corn on the cob from the husk and get rid of all the hair.
Wrap each ear of corn that you want to make individually in plastic wrap.
Place the ear of corn in the microwave and cook on HIGH for 1 1/2 minutes.
Turn the corn over 180 degrees and microwave on HIGH for another 1 1/2 minutes.
Remove the corn from the microwave and let it rest for 2 or 3 minutes.
Carefully remove the plastic wrap from the corn. (Watchout for a rush of steam)
Season the corn to taste by adding butter and salt to your liking.
The cooking times may differ based on the amount of corn you are microwaving at once. However, the general rule is that if you are microwaving multiple ears of corn in plastic wrap, then you can let it run longer.
I recommend running it for 3 minutes, then turning them over and running again at full power for 1 1/2 minutes.
